Project 3
This project was to create a collaborative research plan and a report in order to solve a problem of our group's choosing. We chose to do a feasibility report about Detroit's Motor City Blight Busters.
By collaborating with my group on a research plan, we had to learn how to communicate with each other about our research questions and writing strategy. We also had to communicate with our audience the plan of research in a persuasive and usable way. I found that working as a team really improved my methods. We could discuss exactly what type of research and what research questions would be most beneficial to our feasibility report based on our audience.
We had to write a report that was persuasive and informative. Our main goal for this project was to provide a report that would be most beneficial to our audiences. Therefore, we had to write specifically to persuade them; we included relevant research from primary and secondary sources that would be most appealing to them.
The writing process was more intricate during this project because we had to coordinate five people’s writing and styles into one cohesive piece. We did a lot of individual work, layered work, and face-to-face work. We edited and revised both alone and with other group members. I believe we wrote effectively, analyzed data and research well, and designed our report consistently.
Below I included the link to our final report.
